A diesel engine is a power machine that converts the heat energy generated by combustion of diesel in a working cylinder into mechanical energy. It mainly consists of cylinders, cylinder heads, cylinder liners, pistons, connecting rods, brain uranium, and flywheels. Intake valve, exhaust valve and fuel injector and other components.

The role and relationship of the above components is: the intake valve is used to suck in fresh air; the exhaust valve is used to exclude the exhaust gas injector that the cylinder has burned to inject diesel oil into the cylinder to burn the cylinder head, piston and cylinder sleeve. Combustion air is formed; the connecting rod (head) is connected with the piston, and the other head (big head) is connected with the crankshaft, and the flywheel is fixed on the crankshaft. When the gas in the combustion chamber is inflated, the curved sleeves are driven by the connecting rods to make rotational movements. With the inertial force that the crankshaft and the flywheel rotate together, the piston can be pushed up and down by the connecting rod. In this way, the piston's -k, reciprocating movement constitutes the basic conditions for the diesel engine's working cycle.

When the diesel engine is in operation, the piston is sold to the uppermost position of the cylinder, which is called top dead center. The bottom position of the cylinder is called bottom dead center. The distance between the top and bottom dead center is called the piston stroke (also called the stroke). One stroke of the piston: twice the radius of rotation of the crankshaft. Each time the piston moves one stroke, the rivet turns over half a turn.

When the piston is at top dead center, the cylinder volume above the top of the piston is called the combustion chamber volume. When the piston is at bottom dead center, the volume of the cylinder above the top of the piston is called the total volume of the cylinder. The total cylinder volume, Xu's value obtained from the volume of the combustion chamber, is called the compression ratio. It represents the degree to which the gas is compressed in the cylinder. The greater the compression ratio, the more the gas is compressed in the cylinder.
