Diesel Fuel Filter Blockage

Starting Behavior

Engine fails to ignite after repeated cranking attempts, or stalls immediately after starting. Exhaust emits little to no smoke.

Hand Primer Pump Test

When loosening the bleed screw and operating the hand primer pump, you feel extreme resistance. Fuel flows out of the bleed port very slowly, intermittently, or with foam.

Visual Inspection

On models with a transparent housing, you can directly see impurities, rust, or a black, oil-soaked filter element.

Fuel Delivery Line Blockage

Fuel Priming & Leakage Check

Resistance remains high when priming even after installing a new filter. When disassembling the filter, fuel leaks from the pipe joints, and fuel flow is restricted or intermittent.

Visual Inspection

Metal pipes show corrosion or dents; rubber pipes exhibit aging, brittleness, or cracking.

Abnormal Operation Noise

After a brief start, a "tick-tick" noise is heard, accompanied by fluctuating engine speed.

Replace with a WAGNA genuine-matched diesel fuel filter(original filter element offers optimal filtration precision to prevent secondary blockage)

Fuel Delivery Pipe

Locate the blockage position

Use high-pressure air to gently blow through from one end to clear it

For stubborn contaminants, flush with WAGNA-specialized diesel

Severe Blockage(Aged/Damaged)

Directly replace with a WAGNA genuine-specification fuel delivery pipe

Tighten the joint bolts during installation to ensure a leak-proof seal

Post-Operation Inspection(Ensure No Omissions)

Fuel Line Bleeding

Reassemble components, open the bleed screw on the injection pump or filter, and operate the hand primer pump

Continue until bubble-free, impurity-free fuel flows out of the bleed port, then retighten the screw

Startup Check

Start the generator set, observe for smooth startup, run for 3–5 minutes, and check for

abnormal noise or fuel leaks to confirm the fuel line has returned to normal
