Generally, small generators are not suitable for carrying inductive loads such as air conditioners. The instantaneous starting current of air conditioners can often reach three times that of normal use, and the instantaneous current can not afford small generators.
If the generator must be used to use the air conditioner, then the generator used must also reach three times the load. Suppose your air conditioner is marked with 3KVA. The person who sells the generator will tell you that at least 8KW generator will make your air conditioner work properly!
Remarks: If it is a 3KVA inverter air conditioner, buy a 5KW gasoline generator can drive the air conditioner to operate!
